201 Towards Kawasaki Daishi Heiken-ji Temple ( 3 / 3 ).

川崎貨物駅での撮影を終えて川崎大師を目指しているのですが、この列車をこの位置から撮影しているということは、、

I’ve finished taking photos at Kawasaki Freight Station and am heading towards Kawasaki Daishi, but the fact that I’m taking photos of this train from this location means…

住宅街を抜けておよそ2kmの道のりを、歩いて行くことにしたのです。

I decided to walk the approximately 2km distance, passing through the residential area.

ゆっくりと散策しながら30分ほど歩くと、川崎大師へ向かうメインストリートである「仲見世」に到着しました。

After strolling leisurely for about 30 minutes, I arrived at the main street leading to Kawasaki Daishi, known as “Nakamise.”

メインストリートには、多くの人々が往来しています。

普段、京都にいる私は、この程よい賑わいが心地よく感じました。

(なぜなら、今の京都は甚だしいオーバーツーリズムで、とても正常な姿とは言えないからです。。)

Many people are coming and going on the main street.

As someone who usually lives in Kyoto, I found this moderate level of activity quite pleasant.

(Because Kyoto is currently suffering from severe overtourism, and is far from a normal state.)

次の２つの画像は、ご当地名物の「飴」を売られているお店です。

The following two images show shops selling local specialty “ Ame ( = Japanese traditional candy )”.

ここのお店では、作りたての「飴」を包丁で軽やかなリズムで切っておられます。

At this shop, they cut the freshly made “Ame” with a knife in a light, rhythmic motion.

川崎大師平間寺の本堂に到着しました。

I have arrived at the main hall of Kawasaki Daishi Heikenji Temple.

堂々たる風貌ですね。

It has a truly imposing appearance.

参拝を終えて駅に向かうと、Instagramでよく見かける「七味屋さん」が店を構えておられました。

残念ながら今回はお声がけできなかったのですが、いつかお話しができればと思っています。

After finishing my visit to the temple and heading towards the station, I came across a shop selling shichimi spice, which I often see on Instagram.

Shichimi is a traditional Japanese spice mixture containing seven ingredients, mainly chili pepper, along with things like sesame seeds, seaweed, and Japanese pepper (sansho).

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to speak with you this time, but I hope we can talk someday.

メインストリートである「仲見世」の沿道風景、ぜひリズム感あふれる「飴切りサウンド」で雰囲気を味わってください。

Be sure to enjoy the atmosphere along Nakamise, the main street, accompanied by the rhythmic “Ame-cutting sound.”
