109 A train running in an industrial area.
今回の訪問地は日本有数の工業地帯の中を走る、「鶴見線」です。
My destination this time is the “Tsurumi Line,” which runs through the largest industrial area in Japan.

始発駅である鶴見駅の屋根は鉄骨が剥き出しで、日本の産業力の強さを感じる構造です。
The roof of Tsurumi Station, the first station, has a bare steel frame, a structure that shows the strength of Japanese industry.

次の駅の「国道駅」です。
The next station, Kokudo Station.
線路が大きくカーブしているので、見応えある風景です。
The tracks curve greatly, making it a spectacular sight to behold.

そして国道駅といえば、線路の下にあるこの有名な光景。
And speaking of Kokudo Station, this famous sight under the railroad tracks.
今は営業されていない酒場の看板が、他にはない情感を醸し出しています。
The sign for the bar, which is no longer in business, creates a unique sentiment.

ですが、私は今回さらにインパクトのある掲示物を見つけてしまいました。。。

「悔い改めよ」って、ここでも神様は人々の所業をご覧になられているようです。

さらに先へと進みます。

続いては、浅野駅に近い入船公園です。
Next is Iri-fune Park near Asano Station.
いつもここにいてるヤギがいません。
The goats that are always here are gone.
昨年７月に線路へ侵入してまで「ランチ」をした実績があるだけに、ものすごく心配です。
I am extremely concerned because he has a history of trespassing on the railroad tracks and eating “lunch” last July.
あとで調べてみると、この時もヤギはちゃんと公園にいたようで、安心しました。
I later checked and was relieved to find that the goats were still in the park at this time.

日本で最も海に近い駅の一つ、「海芝浦駅」です。
One of the closest stations to the sea in Japan is Umi-Shibaura Station.
いつ来ても心が洗われる風景ですが、海の反対側には民間企業の工場があり、その方向にはカメラを向けることができません。
It is always a heartwarming landscape, but on the other side of the sea there is a factory of a private company, and we cannot point our camera in that direction.

川崎方面に向かう途中の光景です。
This is a scene on the way to Kawasaki.
おそらく在日米軍向けの燃料輸送車ではないかと思います。
Perhaps it is a fuel transport for the U.S. military in Japan.

浜川崎駅からの光景です。
This is a view from Hama-Kawasaki Station.
金属の再生加工をされている工場からの音が、力強く伝わってきます。
The sound from the factory where the metal is being reprocessed comes through strongly.
僕は、このような「ザ・産業」というシーンに遭遇すると。とてもワクワクします。
When I encounter this kind of “The Industry” scene, I get very excited.

最後は南武線に乗り、この地を後にしました。
Finally I took the Nambu line and left the area.

行き交う小田急線の列車が、遠くに見えていました。
