027 On a hot day

前回の続きです。
Continuing from the previous session.

琴平駅を降りれば、そこは炎天下。
この先の行程を躊躇います。
この駅から10分ほど歩いた後、金刀比羅宮の御本宮までは785段の階段を登ることになります。
When I got off Kotohira station, it was under the scorching sun.
I hesitated to go ahead.
After walking about 10 minutes from this station, I will have to climb 785 steps to reach the main shrine of Kotohiragu Shrine.

石段を登り始めておよそ350段、振り返れば街を展望できます。
( 戻りたい。。)
You can see the city by looking back at about 350 steps after starting to climb the stone steps.
( I want to return..)

「大門」です。ここまで365段。
( そして先程の眺望から、わずか15段。。)
あと135段で資生堂パーラーだったのですが、あまりの暑さのため、今回はここで折り返します。
この先、楽しく旅を続けるためにも、体調維持を優先させました。
いや、ホント、ハンパない暑さでしたから。。
It is “Daimon” ( = Main gate ). It’s been 365 steps since I started climbing.
(And only 15 steps from the previous view.)
It was Shiseido Parlor with 135 steps left, but it was so hot that I turned it back here this time.
In order to continue the trip happily in the future, we prioritized maintaining physical condition.
Because it was very, very hot.

山を降りた後は、ことでんに乗るのも辛く、特急を乗り継ぎ高松へ向かいます。
快適でした。。
After getting off the mountain, it’s hard to get on the Kotoden, so take the JR Limited Express to Takamatsu.

そして高松にてランチです。
残念ながら、JR高松駅構内のうどん店は休業中。
案内所の方に教えていただき、同じ業者さんが高松駅前でされているお店でお世話になりました。
うどんの麺が、輝いています。
And lunch at Takamatsu.
Unfortunately, the udon shop inside JR Takamatsu Station is closed.
I was told by the information center, and the same trader took care of me at the shop in front of Takamatsu station.
Udon noodles are shining.

ことでん高松築港駅に近づくと、
When approaching Kotoden Takamatsu-chikko Station,
京急塗装の車両が出発するところでした。
行先表示も京急仕様。
何かのイベントだったのでしょうか？
The Keikyu-painted vehicle was about to depart.
The destination display is also Keikyu specifications.
Was it some kind of event?

この駅は高松城に隣接しており、お堀には海水が引かれています。
This station is adjacent to Takamatsu Castle, and the moat is flooded with seawater.
