ここは、京都市南部の伏見区大手筋商店街の入口にある、京阪電車の伏見桃山駅。

This is Fushimi Momoyama Station on the Keihan Railway, located at the entrance to the Otesuji shopping arcade in Fushimi Ward in the southern part of Kyoto City.

駅に停車する電車に手が届きそうな場所です。

You can almost reach the train stopping at the station.

天気は快晴。

The weather is clear.

今日はここから、少し北に向かおうと思います。

Today I will head a little north from here.

京阪電車に乗り、着いた場所は出町柳駅。

After taking the Keihan Railway, I arrived at Demachiyanagi station.

ここからは叡山電車に乗って、さらに北へ向かいます。

From here, take the Eizan Railway and head further north.

発車の準備をしていたのは、観光列車の「ひえい」。

The sightseeing train “Hiei” was getting ready to depart.

車齢は既に30年を超えていますが、2018年にリニューアルされ個性的なデザインとなっています。

Although the car is already over 30 years old, it was renewed in 2018 with a unique design.

初めて出会ったこの車両、まずは乗車してみることにしました。

This was the first time I encountered this train, and I decided to board it first.

ベストポジションには、既に男の子が陣取っていました。

The boys had already settled into the best position.

とっても楽しそう。。。

It looks very fun…

この電車は宝ヶ池駅まで乗車しました。

I took this train to Takaragaike station.

この列車はこの後、比叡山の麓まで走って行きます。

This train will then run to the foot of Mount Hiei.

反対方向の線路にも、リニューアルされた車両がやってきました。

A renewed train has arrived on the tracks in the opposite direction.

この車両も30年を超えるベテランですが、年齢を感じさせない風貌です。

This train is also a veteran of over 30 years, but has an ageless appearance.

後続の列車がやってきました。

The following train arrived.

ここからは、さらに北へと向かいます。

From here I head further north.
