旅の２日目。

Day two of the trip.

この日は富山地方鉄道全線が、一日中100円で乗車できるとのことで、⬇️のチケットを使って富山駅まで戻ることとなりました。

Since I heard that all Toyama Local Railway lines were offering all-day rides for 100 yen that day, I decided to use the ticket shown below to head back to Toyama Station.

電鉄富山駅からは昨日と同様に、かつて京都-大阪を走行してた「京阪電車の特急車両」を利用します。

As we did yesterday, we’ll be taking the “Keihan Railway limited express train” that once ran between Kyoto and Osaka from Dentetsu Toyama Station.

富山駅まで１時間はかかる新魚津駅発車後で、この込み具合。

富山駅に着く頃には、どれだけ混雑するのでしょうか。。

This is how crowded it is after departing Shin-Uozu Station, which takes an hour to reach Toyama Station.

I wonder how crowded it will be by the time we arrive at Toyama Station.

そこで私は、滑川駅で並行するあいの風とやま鉄道に乗り換えることとしました。

( このキャラクターは、ご当地名産のホタルイカを擬人化したものです。)

富山駅まで、遠回りをする富山地方鉄道ならば約１時間、ストレートに向かうあいの風とやま鉄道ならば約15分です。

So I decided to transfer to the Ainokaze Toyama Railway, which runs parallel to my line, at Namerikawa Station.

(This character is a personification of the hotaru – ika ( = firefly squid), a local specialty.)

It takes about an hour to get to Toyama Station if I take the Toyama Chiho Railway, which takes a roundabout route, or about 15 minutes if I take the Ainokaze Toyama Railway, which goes directly to the station.
