和歌山港駅のホームからは、これから乗船するフェリーが見えています。

気分はもう四国です。

From the platform at Wakayama Port Station, we could see the ferry we were about to board. We felt like we were already on Shikoku Island.

★

船に向かう仲間たち。

鉄道談義に花が咲く、楽しい時間が続きます。

Our friends head to the ship. We continue to have fun talking about trains.

★

一等船室からは素晴らしい全面展望が広がります。

(ただ、私たちはカーペットエリアの普通船室で「ゴロ寝」してましたが。。)

There is a wonderful view from the first class cabin. (However, we were sleeping on the carpet in the regular cabin.)

★

穏やかな日和の中での航海。

私は出航したことすら気づきませんでした。

The voyage was in calm weather and I didn’t even realize we had set sail.

★

２時間ちょっとの船旅で、徳島港に到着。

天候に恵まれ、揺れを全く感じない快適な航行でした。

After a little over two hours, we arrived at Tokushima Port. We were blessed with good weather and had a comfortable voyage with no rocking or swaying at all.

★

いよいよ四国に上陸、旅はこれからです。

We have finally landed in Shikoku and the journey is just beginning.
