今回の旅も、いよいよファイナルステージです。
This journey is finally reaching its final stage.
富山駅からは北陸新幹線を利用します。
数ある新幹線車両の中で、外観のデザインはこの車両がイチバンのお気に入りです。
We will be taking the Hokuriku Shinkansen from Toyama Station.
Of all the Shinkansen trains, this one has my absolute favorite exterior design.

乗車するのは「つるぎ23号」敦賀行きです。
We will be taking the “Tsurugi No. 23” bound for Tsuruga.
The train’s name, “Tsurugi,” is derived from Mount Tsurugi, which stands in Toyama Prefecture along the Hokuriku Shinkansen.
Furthermore, “Tsurugi” means “sword,” and I believe the mountain was named that way because it is so rugged.

敦賀駅に到着、次の列車への連絡通路です。
この駅での乗り換えについては様々な意見があるようですが、個人的には京都駅やその他の駅と比べれば快適に利用できているかなと思っています。
We have arrived at Tsuruga Station; this is the connecting passage to the next train.
There seem to be various opinions about transferring at this station, but personally, I think it’s more convenient than Kyoto Station or other stations.
いよいよ最後の列車です。
ここから京都までは、およそ１時間。
私達にとって、特急列車での１時間は「あっという間」です。
This is the last train.
For us, an hour on an express train goes by in a flash.

京都駅では大阪まで帰る一人と、私達３人が別れ、来年の再会を願い発車まで声を掛け合っていました。
At Kyoto Station, one person was returning to Osaka, while the three of us parted ways, and we exchanged farewells, wishing to meet again next year, until the train departed.

２日間の鉄道三昧。
