鐵道部同窓会旅行２日目の朝、この日の天気は雪予想。

早くに目覚め、朝食までに時間があったので魚津駅まで出向いてみました。

すると、そこにやってきたのは、、

On the morning of the second day of the Railway Club alumni trip, the weather forecast for the day was snow.

I woke up early and had some time before breakfast, so I went to Uozu Station.

Then, who should show up but…

このエリアでは１編成しかない、国鉄型車両の413系でした！

まずは、反対側のホームにやってくる列車を撮影し、駅の時刻表で運用を確認しました。

調べてみた結果、この列車は隣の黒部駅で折り返し、ほどなくこの魚津駅に戻ってくるのことがわかりました。

This was the only JNR-era 413 series train set in this area!

First, I filmed a train arriving on the opposite platform and checked its schedule against the station’s timetable.

After investigating, I found out that this train turns around at the neighboring Kurobe Station and returns to Uozu Station shortly thereafter.

先ほどの列車に乗るために、隣りの東滑川駅までの往復切符を購入しました！

I bought a round-trip ticket to the next station, Higashi-Namikawa, in order to catch the train I mentioned earlier.

実はこの列車、以前にも乗ったことがあるのですが、今回も貴重な機会です。

Actually, I’ve ridden this train before, but this is another valuable opportunity.

このモーター音が、心を震わせます。

This motor sound sends shivers down my spine.

そして東滑川駅では、富山地方鉄道との共演です。

And at Higashi-Namerikawa Station, they will be performing alongside the Toyama Chiho Railway.

その後数分の待ち時間で、魚津駅に戻る列車がやってきました。

３月というのに、なかなかの雪景色です。

After a few minutes’ wait, the train back to Uozu Station arrived.

It’s March, but there’s quite a bit of snow in the landscape.
