「お子さま向けですよ。。」と何度も念押しされた「おかでんミュージアム」を出ると、、
When I left the “Okaden Museum,” I was repeatedly reminded, “This is just for children.

そこには「チャギントン列車」が、営業を開始する岡山駅への出発を待っているところでした。
この列車は単なるラッピングトレインではないので、この会社の本気度が強く伝わってきます。
There, the “Chuggington Train” was waiting to depart for Okayama Station, where it would begin operations.
This train is not just a wrapping train, which strongly conveys the seriousness of this company.

岡山駅までの帰路、私たちが乗車したのはこの車両。
「くろ」という愛称で、車内には20世紀初頭に活躍した画家・竹久夢二をテーマとした装飾がされています。
We boarded this train on our way back to Okayama Station.
Nicknamed “Kuro(=Black),” the train is decorated with a theme of Yumeji Takehisa, a painter who was active in the early 20th century.

岡山駅からは第２の目的地である、津山へと向かいます。
ここで乗車したのは「キハ47」型ディーゼルカー。
今回の旅行で、私が最も楽しみにしていた車両です。
以前の氷見線でのブログでも紹介しましたが、私はこの車両の重く響くディーゼルエンジンの音が大好きです。
From Okayama Station, the train headed for its second destination, Tsuyama.
Here we boarded a “Kiha 47” type diesel car.
This was the car I was most looking forward to seeing on this trip.
As I mentioned in my previous blog on the JR Himi Line, I love the sound of the heavy diesel engine of this car.

津山でのお目当ては、こちら「津山まなびの鉄道館」です。
Tsuyama Manabi-no-Tetsudo-kan (Tsuyama Railroad Educational Museum) is the place to visit in Tsuyama.

この汽笛は吹鳴装置こそ車両本体から分離されていますが、実際にSLで使われていたものが利用されています。
Although the whistle is separate from the car itself, it is the same whistle that was used on steam locomotive.

機関庫での時間を堪能した後は、姫新線の列車で今回の宿泊地へ向かいます。
After enjoying our time at the engine depot, we will take the Kishin Line train to our place of stay this time.

津山駅からおよそ25分、降り立ったのは林野駅です。
About 25 minutes from Tsuyama Station, we arrived at Hayashino Station.
ここから温泉宿までは、お迎えの車に乗りあと少しです。
From here, it is just a short ride in a pick-up car to the hot spring resort.

今回お世話になるのは、湯郷グランドホテルさんです。
話の尽きない、長い夜になりそうです。
We will be staying at the Yunogo Grand Hotel.
It is going to be a long night with endless conversation.
