134 A Reunion Trip of J.H.S. Railroad Club ( 1/3 ).
今回は、中学校時代の鉄道部仲間との同窓会旅行のお話です。
朝の大阪駅からのスタートです。
This time, I would like to talk about a reunion trip with my railroad club mates from junior high school.
We start from Osaka station in the morning.

最初の列車はディーゼル車両を使用した、「はまかぜ１号」です。
メンバーの一人が「一度この車両に乗ってみたかった。」ということで、途中の姫路駅まで、約１時間の乗車です。
The first train was the Hamakaze No. 1, a diesel-powered train.
One of our members said, “I have always wanted to ride on this train. So we rode for about an hour to Himeji Station on the way.

列車は途中、海沿いの路線を走ります。遠くの対岸に見えているのは「淡路島」です。
普段、京都市とその近郊で暮らしていると美しい海の風景が、とても新鮮に感じます。
The train runs along the seaside route on the way. Awaji Island can be seen in the distance on the opposite shore.
I usually live in Kyoto City and its suburbs, so the beautiful seascape is very fresh in my mind.

姫路駅では、私の地元では引退してしまった「103系車両」が現役で走っています。
At Himeji Station, “103 Series” trains, which have been retired in my hometown, are still running.

姫路の先、相生駅からは新型車両の「227系」で岡山へ向かいます。
この区間は旧式の「115系」車両も走行しており、今のうちに乗ってみたくもあったのですが、やはり新しいだけあって、この車両での移動が快適でした。
From Aioi Station, beyond Himeji, we headed for Okayama on the new “227 series” train.
Older “115 Series” trains were also running on this section, and I wanted to try them while they were still available, but they were newer and more comfortable.

岡山駅に設置されている「桃太郎」像。これを見ると岡山に来た実感が湧きます。
The “Momotaro( = One of the Japanese fairy tales. )” statue at Okayama Station.
Seeing this statue makes you feel that you have come to Okayama.

岡山駅からは路面電車に乗って、最初の立ち寄り地に向かいます。
From Okayama Station we will take the tram to our first destination.

路面電車の車庫に併設された「おかでんミュージアム」。
完全な子ども向け施設に、大人５人で訪問。
入場料が1,000円とあって、受付の方に「お子様向けの施設ですけど、よろしいですか？」と何度も念押しされました。。
The Okaden Museum is located in a tram garage.
Five adults visited this completely child-friendly facility.
