136 A Reunion Trip of J.H.S. Railroad Club ( 3/3 ).
２日目の朝、京都に戻ります。
On the morning of the second day, we will return to Kyoto.

昨日降り立った林野駅から、姫新線のディーゼルカーに乗車します。
From Hayashino Station, where we alighted yesterday, we will board a diesel train on the Hime-Shin Line.

列車を乗り換えるために下車した佐用駅では、岡山へ向かう特急列車が隣のホームにやってきました。
At Sayo Station, where we got off to change trains, an express train bound for Okayama arrived on the next platform.

播磨新宮駅です。
佐用駅から姫路駅までは、この車両で乗り通すことになりました。
At Harima-Shingu station.
We were to ride through from Sayo Station to Himeji Station in this train.
ただ、播磨新宮駅では30分ほどの時間があったので、駅の周りを探検。
However, we had about 30 minutes at Harima-Shingu Station, so we explored the area around the station.

そこには、関西では馴染みの深い「アレ！」の企業様の工場があり、本社オフィスもこの近くにあります。
There was a factory of a company that produces “Japanese delicatessen,” which is well-known in western Japan, and their head office was also located nearby.

白鷺城(姫路城)がそびえる、姫路まで戻ってきました。
We returned to Himeji, where Himeji Castle (=Castli of Egret) towers over the city.

ホームには、往年の名車・キハ58系ディーゼルカーを模した「姫路駅名物・駅そば」のスタンドがあります。
On the platform, there is a stand for “Eki-soba( Eki = Station / Soba = buckwheat noodle = A kind of Japanese noodles ), a specialty of Himeji Station,” which is modeled after the famous Kiha 58 diesel car of yesteryear.

昼食は、もちろん駅そば。
Lunch was, of course, “Eki-Soba”.
「中華麺に和風だし」の組み合わせが、飽きのこないテイストになっています。
The combination of “Chinese noodles and Japanese soup stock” gives the dish a taste that one will never get tired of.
この駅そば。スーパーで売られている「中華麺」と「和風だし」で、ある程度は再現できるので、ご興味のある方は一度試されてはいかがでしょうか？
This ekisoba. It can be reproduced to some extent with “Chinese noodles” and “Japanese soup stock” sold in supermarkets, so if you are interested, why not give it a try?

姫路からは「新快速・Aシート」を利用して、京都まで。
From Himeji, we used “special seats on the rapid train” to return to Kyoto.
あっという間の楽しい２日間。
It was a fast and enjoyable two days.
卒業後、はじめての再会となった同級生もいましたが、列車に乗るやいなや、あっという間に学校時代に戻れた旅でした。
Some of us were reunited with classmates for the first time since graduation, but as soon as we boarded the train, we were quickly transported back to our school days.
そして来年へのプランニングが、もうすでに始まっています。
And planning for next year has already begun.
