007 Red Ticket

多くの方々が、このチケットを使われて楽しい時間を過ごされたかと思います。

1980年代、当時の国鉄によって発売されおよそ40年の歴史があります。

今でも利用期間中は列車が混雑する区間が発生するなど、根強い人気に支えられています。

利用は普通列車に限定されるとはいえ、一日の中で可能な限り遠くに行けるのが魅力です。

さらにそこには「限られた条件下で、最大効用を追求する」プランニングの楽しみもあります。

今は駅の端末で発行される青いチケットですが、今回このようなものが私の机の中から出てきました。

I think many people had a good time using this ticket.

It was released by JNR ( Japan National Railways ) in the 1980’s and has a history of about 40 years.

Even now, it is supported by its deep-rooted popularity, with some sections being congested during the period of use.

Although the use is limited to regular trains, it is attractive to be able to go as far as possible during the day.

There is also the enjoyment of planning “pursuing maximum utility under limited conditions”.

Now it’s a blue ticket issued at the terminal of the station, but this time something like this came out of my desk.

2016年冬期まで残っていた、「赤券」と呼ばれていた手発行のチケット。

JR西日本でも限られた駅にしか残っていませんでしたが、自宅最寄駅での取扱があったため、記念に買っておいたものです。

この頃はこの「赤券」を販売をする駅もごく僅かとなっていたため、遠くの駅まで買いに行く人がいた中、近くで購入できたことは幸運でした。

社会が落ち着きを取り戻し、機会があれば今度は青い18きっぷを持って出かけようと思います。

A hand-issued ticket called a “Aka-ken ( red ticket )” that remained until the winter of 2016.

It was left only at a limited number of stations in JR West, but I bought it as a memorial because it was handled at the station closest to my house.

At that time, there were only a few stations selling this “Aka-ken ( red ticket )”, so I was fortunate to be able to buy it nearby while some people went to a distant station to buy it.

Society will regain its composure, and if I have the opportunity, I will go out with a blue Seishun 18(ticket).
