065 My favorite line. (4/4)

☆

Iida Line has finished running, but I will return to Nagoya from Okaya Station via Shiojiri Station on the route ⬇️.

On the Iida Line from Toyohashi Station to Okaya Station, I used a Limited Express train for some sections, but it was a 200km, 6-hour trip.

From Shiojiri Station on the way back to Nagoya, it takes about 2 hours by Limited Express train for 170km. In no time.

First, head to Shiojiri Station from Okaya Station.

An extra train that wasn’t on the timetable arrived earlier than the scheduled train, so I boarded it.

There was a snow shield on the front of the train, and I felt the land pattern of this train.

Arrived at Shiojiri station.

Yamanashi Prefecture is associated with the “wine producing area” in Japan, but Shiojiri City, Nagano Prefecture is also firmly appealing.

It was a pity that it was a season, but at this station, “grape shelves” are also made on the platform.

☆

And the station name signboard is also firmly “grape”.

As an aside, I think there are many place names that tell the history of the place.

About “Shio – jiri” which is the place name of this place.

“Shio” means “salt” and “Shiri” here means “end”. (However, the original meaning of “Shiri” is “the hips that are a part of the body.)

I think there are various theories about “Shio – jiri” here, but I feel the importance of logistics and the value of salt because it was named from the end of the salt flow path.

The “Limited Express Shinano” heading to Nagoya has arrived.

It was around 5 pm and the sun was getting reddish.

☆

It is a rural landscape at dusk.

The scenery during the daytime that I introduced last time was also beautiful, but I think that the scenery at this time also impresses Japan.

At the end of the journey at dusk, it touches my heart.

I got off the Shinano train at Chikusa station in Nagoya city.

Thank you for your long trip and the relationship so far.

This is a review.

Starting from Toyohashi station, I moved along the red line on the Iida line.

On the return trip, I returned to Nagoya at once by the “Limited Express Shinano” mentioned earlier.

I will continue to go somewhere to find the wonderful scenery of Japan.
