019 Aurora Vision

朝の京都駅。毎日の通勤風景です。

陽が射し込む烏丸中央口。

ここを少し進んだ左手には、電光掲示板のオーロラビジョンが設置されています。

そのモニターには四季折々の京都の景色や、特色ある映像が放映されています。

今日、私が目にしたのは、この映像です。

Karasuma Central Exit where the sun shines.

The aurora vision of the electric bulletin board is installed on the left hand side after going a little further.

The monitor shows the scenery of Kyoto in each season and unique images.

It is this video that I saw today.

踊りを披露されている舞妓さん。そして、後ろにはお姉さん方。

そして、京都には五花街と呼ばれる、舞妓さんを擁するエリアがあります。

五花街とは上七軒、祇園甲部、祇園東、先斗町、宮川町(五十音順)の５つを指します。

タイミングが合い撮影できた画像は宮川町の舞妓さん方ですが、それぞれの地域に特色があります。

この世界、みなさんはどのように感じられますか？

京都で暮らす方、京都で仕事をされている方、京都に接しておられる方、

あるいは、京都に接点のない方それぞれに、様々な印象があると思います。

同じ風景であっても、人それぞれに受ける印象が変わる、

そんなところも京都の魅力だと、私は思います。

And behind them are their sisters.

And in Kyoto, there is an area called Go(5)-kagai, where Maiko is located.

Go-kagai consists of Kami-shichiken, Gion Kobu, Gion Higashi, Ponto-cho, and Miyagawa-cho (in Japanese alphabetical order).

The images taken at the right time are Maiko from Miyagawa-cho, but each area has its own characteristics.

How do you feel about this world?

Those who live in Kyoto, those who work in Kyoto, those who are in contact with Kyoto,

Or, I think that each person who has no contact with Kyoto has various impressions.

Even if the scenery is the same, the impression that each person receives will change.

I think that is another attraction of Kyoto.
