015 Semi – exp. on the Kintetsu Kyoto Line

鉄道好きの中には、時刻表に掲示されていない列車運用を見つけると嬉しくなる人がいます。
もちろん私も、その中の一人です。
Some railroad enthusiasts are happy to find train operations that are not posted on the timetable.
Of course I am one of them.

近鉄京都駅の発車時刻表で、ここに記されている「準急」は全て新田辺行きです。
In the departure timetable of Kintetsu Kyoto Station, all “Semi-express” trains listed here are bound for Shintanabe.

また停車駅案内でも、準急は全ての列車が新田辺までの表示になっています。
Also, in the stop station information, all trains on the Semi-express train are displayed up to Shintanabe.
ところが、この中で実際には上の図の終点である橿原神宮前まで通しで運転される列車があります。
However, among these, there are actually trains that run through to Kashihara Jingu-mae, which is the end point in the above figure.

ちなみに近鉄全体の路線図は、⬇️のとおりです。
京都駅は黄色のラインの「B01」、橿原神宮前駅は黄色のラインの「B42」です。
By the way, the route map of Kintetsu as a whole is as shown in ⬇️.
Kyoto station is the yellow line “B01”, and Kashiharajingu-mae station is the yellow line “B42”.

実質的に橿原神宮前行きとなるのは京都駅18:05分発の準急(新田辺行き)です。
The train bound for Kashiharajingu-mae is the Semi-express train (bound for Shintanabe) departing from Kyoto Station at 18:05.

この列車は新幹線が見える、３番ホームからの出発です。

となりの４番ホームには、後続の18:07発「普通・新田辺行き」が停車しています。
At the next platform, Platform 4, the following 18:07 departure “Local train bound for Shintanabe” stops.

新田辺に到着時点では、行先表示が「普通・橿原神宮前行き」になっています。
When you arrive at Shintanabe, the destination display will be “Local / Kashiharajingu-mae”.

11分間の停車中に、特急と急行を待避。
後続の京都発新田辺行きの普通にも追いつかれます。
Escape the limited express and express trains while the train is stopped for 11 minutes.
At Shintanabe Station, the following Local trains from Kyoto to Shintanabe will catch up.
運行時刻は⬇️のとおり。
始発駅である京都駅の構造と、折り返し列車との運用上、このようなダイヤになったのではないかと思います。
① 準急新田辺行き : 京都18:05 → 新田辺18:37 ▶️▶️▶️ 普通橿原神宮前行き : 新田辺18:48 → 橿原神宮前
② 普通新田辺行き : 京都18:07 → 新田辺18:44 ▶️▶️▶️ 新田辺駅で①に追いつく
The operating time is as shown in ⬇️.
I think the reason for this diagram is the structure of Kyoto Station.
① Semi Express bound for Shin – Tanabe : Kyoto 18:05 → Shintanabe 18:37
▶️▶️▶️ Local train bound for Kashihara Jingu-mae : Shintanabe 18:48 → Kashihara Jingu-mae
② Local train bound for Shin – Tanabe: Kyoto 18:07 → Shintanabe 18:44
▶️▶️▶️ Catch up with ① at Shintanabe Station

新田辺では、まず車庫に入る普通・新田辺行きが引き込み線に入ります。
結局、後続の普通電車にも抜かれたことになりますね。
At Shintanabe, subsequent train ( Local train bound for Shin – Tanabe ) enters the rail yard,
Finally, it was overtaken by the following regular train.

18:48、ようやくこの列車の再スタートです。
終点の橿原神宮前には、20:01到着。あと１時間以上の旅となります。
At 18:48, this train is finally restarting.
Arrived at 20:01 Kashiharajingu – mae, the final stop. It will be more than an hour’s journey.
