169 A Reunion Trip of J.H.S. Railroad Club Vol.2 ( 6/6 ).

DMVの旅を終えて、阿波海南駅に降り立ちました。
After completing our DMV journey, we arrived at Awa-Kainan Station.

一般道路を走行する「バス車両」から、鉄道線路を走行する「鉄道車両」への「モードチェンジ」の様子です。
一見、単純なように見えますが、躯体の構造や強度を考えると、設計には苦労されたと思います。
This is a video of the “mode change” from a “bus vehicle” that runs on public roads to a “railroad vehicle” that runs on railroad tracks.
At first glance it looks simple, but when you consider the structure and strength of the frame, I imagine it must have been difficult to design.

この列車で、今夜の宿泊地へ向かいます。
長時間の鐵旅ですが、まだまだ疲れを感じません。
同行するメンバーの中には、次々と(アルコール)燃料を補給している者もいました。。
We are heading to our lodgings for the night on this train. It’s a long train journey, but I’m not feeling tired yet. Some of the people accompanying me are refueling with alcohol one after another.

すっかり夜になった時間に今夜の宿泊地、「阿南」に到着です。
この日も多くの「鉄分」を補給した一日でした。
We arrived at Anan City, our lodging for the night, just as night fell. It was another day where we replenished our iron intake. (In Japanese, the word “railway” is made up of the characters “iron” and “road.” That’s why railroad enthusiasts say that they are “replenishing Iron as a nutrient intake,” when they come into contact with trains.)

私たちを乗せていた列車が徳島駅に向かって、出発して行きました。
夜の闇に消えてゆく列車には、独特の風情がありますね。
この後は友人たちと、ささやかな宴の時間です。
The train we were on departed for Tokushima Station. There is something very special about watching a train disappear into the darkness of the night. After this, it was time for a small party with friends.

一夜明けての帰路が始まります。
The return journey begins the next morning.
この阿南市からは大阪まで直通便があったので、バス旅行にしてみました。
かつて大阪と徳島の間には、プロペラ機の航空便がありましたが、今ではバス移動が主力となっています。
There was a direct flight from Anan to Osaka, so I decided to take a bus trip. There used to be a propeller plane flight between Osaka and Tokushima, but now buses are the main form of transportation.

バスは順調に走行し、明石海峡大橋を渡ります。
大阪までは、あと少しです。
The bus continues to travel smoothly and crosses the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. We’re almost at Osaka.

海の上から、西方を望みます。
春の瀬戸内海には、独特の風情が漂います。
橋の下は潮流が強いので、豊かな海産物が獲れる漁場になっています。
機会があれば、明石市の商店街である「魚ん棚(うおんたな)」にも訪れてみたいです。
Looking westward from the sea. The Seto Inland Sea in spring has a unique atmosphere. The strong currents under the bridge make it a fishing ground where a rich variety of seafood can be caught. If I have the opportunity, I would also like to visit “Uontana”, a shopping street in Akashi City.

大阪駅に帰還しました。
実は今回の５人旅、帰路は３方向に分かれました。
私とあと1人が、徳島から大阪までのバス。
３人は高松まで鉄道利用。
高松からは、2人が鉄道で大阪へ。
残る1人は、高松から神戸まての船旅をチョイスしました。
この自由さが、素晴らしい。
早くも来年の旅が楽しみです。
We returned to Osaka Station.
In fact, on this trip, the five of us split up into three groups on the way back.
I and one other person took a bus from Tokushima to Osaka, while the other three took the train to Takamatsu.
From Takamatsu, two people took the train to Osaka, while the remaining person chose to take a boat trip from Takamatsu to Kobe.
This freedom is wonderful.
I’m already looking forward to next year’s trip.
