148 A Trip to Kobe ( a music concert venue of my friend ).

10月の晴れた休日。

Facebookに「友人がライブ出演」するのと記事があったので、その日のことでしたが思い立って京都から神戸に向かうことにしました。

On a sunny day in October, I saw an article on Facebook about a friend of mine who was going to perform live, so I decided to go to Kobe from Kyoto that very day.

気がつけば時間に余裕が無かったので、新神戸駅まで新幹線の利用です。

I realized I didn’t have much time, so I took the Shinkansen to Shin-Kobe Station.

京都駅から新神戸駅までは、およそ30分です。

It takes about 30 minutes from Kyoto Station to Shin-Kobe Station.

短い時間とはいえ新幹線に乗るとちょっとした旅行気分になり、気分も高揚しますね。

Even though it’s only a short time, riding the Shinkansen makes me feel like I’m on a little trip and it lifts my spirits.

新神戸駅から会場のある港湾地区までは、観光スポットを巡る路線バスで移動しました。

From Shin-Kobe Station to the port area where the venue was located, I took a local bus that stops around the tourist spots.

バスを降りると、海はすぐそば。

When I got off the bus, the sea was right there.

京都に住んでいると、このような風景に心が踊ってしまいます。

Living in Kyoto, views like this make my spirits soar.

会場は海の真横。

友人はこの後ろのステージで演奏です。

The venue was right next to the sea. My friend was performing on the stage behind it.

実は私も１年ほど前からちょっとした楽器を習い始めていて、近々に発表会を控えています。

楽器を手にするのは小学校の授業以来で、「勉強」を兼ねての訪問でした。

プロ並の腕前で「とても楽しそうに」演奏する友人を見て、まずは私も「楽しく」発表会に臨めるように頑張ります！

Actually, I started learning a small instrument about a year ago, and I have a recital coming up soon. This was my first time picking up an instrument since elementary school, so I came here to “study” as well. Seeing my friend playing with professional-level skill and “having a lot of fun”, I will do my best to “enjoy” the recital as well!
