楽しかった旅も、この日が最終日。京都に戻る日がやってきました。

This was the last day of our fun-filled trip. The day to return to Kyoto had arrived.s

帰路は久しぶりの飛行機としました。

We decided to fly home for the first time in a long time.

☆

離陸の瞬間は、なぜだかいつも体に力が入ってしまいます。

For some reason, the moment of takeoff always makes me tense up.

地上では「雨」のお天気でしたが、雲の上は快晴。

これも、飛行機移動の面白さです。

It was “rainy” weather on the ground, but above the clouds it was clear.This is also the fun of air travel.

１時間もしないうちに大阪府の上空。左手には、関西空港が見えています。

Within an hour, the plane is over Osaka Prefecture. Kansai Airport is visible on the left.

大阪梅田の高層ビル群。いつもは、この辺りから飛行機を見上げています。

Skyscrapers in Umeda, Osaka. I usually look up at airplanes from this area.

新大阪駅付近の上空です。眼下には、JR西日本の車庫が見えます。

大阪空港へ到着しました。着陸時の大きな振動に、安心感を覚えます。

The plane has arrived at Osaka Airport. The loud vibration upon landing gives me a sense of relief.

大阪空港から京都駅までは、リムジンバスで帰ってきました。

From Osaka Airport to Kyoto Station, we returned by limousine bus.

福岡から京都までの飛行機利用、今回の移動では新幹線より30分ほど長くかかった程度でした。

Flying from Fukuoka to Kyoto, this trip only took about 30 minutes longer than Shinkansen.

大阪空港でのバス待ち時間と、高速道路での渋滞がなければ、比較的便利な移動です。

If it were not for the waiting time for the bus at Osaka Airport and the traffic jam on the expressway, the trip would be relatively convenient.

京都発だと新幹線移動が多くなりがちですが、飛行機での旅も楽しいものでした。

Although most travel from Kyoto tends to be by Shinkansen bullet train, I also enjoyed traveling by air.
