117 The Train in Kyoto Tea Country.

この日、宇治(新田駅)向かおうと京都駅に来ると、

On this day, when I came to Kyoto station to go to Uji (Shinden station),

地元である京都府の特産品である「宇治茶」をモチーフと車両でした。

The motif of the train was “Uji tea,” a local specialty of Kyoto Prefecture.

車体側面には、「お茶の京都」との文字が記されています。

On the side of the car body, the words “Kyoto Tea Contry” are marked.

そして車内には、沿線市町村の観光スポットがポスターで紹介されています。

And inside the train, posters introduce tourist spots in the cities, towns, and villages along the route.

私が愛する宇治田原町は、現在の日本緑茶を18世紀の江戸時代に開発した「永谷宗圓」の復元された生家が紹介されています。

My beloved Uji-Tawaracho introduces the restored birthplace of Mr. Nagatani Soen, who developed the present-day Japanese green tea in the Edo period of the 18th century.

座席のヘッドレストカバーのデザインは、「お茶の葉」があしらわれています。

The seat headrest cover design is decorated with “tea leaves”.

車両内部の天井近くには、お茶にまつわるコラムが紹介されています。

Inside the car, near the ceiling, a column about tea is introduced.

これは、江戸時代の「御茶壷道中」のことですね。

This is the “Chatsubo Dochu” of the Edo period.

最後は、目的地の新田駅での一枚です。

The last one is at my destination, Shinden Station.
