ここは、大阪メトロ谷町線の四天王寺前夕陽ヶ丘駅。
This is Shitennoji-mae Yuhigaoka Station on the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line.

この駅の改札を上がったところで見つけました。
I found it just up the ticket gate of this station.
いかにも「大阪の喫茶店」というお店を。
It is a very “Osakan Cafe”.
店前に停められている、お客さんのであろう自転車がムードを盛り上げてくれます。
Bicycles parked in front of the restaurant, probably belonging to customers, set the mood.

落ち着いた内装が、このカフェの歴史を感じさせてくれます。
The serene interior gives a sense of the cafe’s history.
そして、前回の京都・宇治の喫茶店と同様にママさんがオーダーを聞きにきてくれます。
And, as in the previous coffee shop in Uji, Kyoto, the lady of the house comes to ask for your order.
この日の30℃を超える暑さにやられていた僕は、何か冷たいものをと思ってこの店に来たのですが、メニューにはいろいろなものが書かれていたので、フードのところも参考にと目を落としていました。
I had come to this restaurant for something cold, as I had been hit hard by the 30+ degree heat of the day, but the menu had a lot of different items on it, so I looked down at the food section as well for reference.
するとママさん、
Then the lady of the house said,
「もう食べるものはないんです」と。
“I don’t have anything to eat anymore.
んー、なかなかの味を出してこられる。。。
Hmmm, she has given me a very interesting response.
続けて、ある程度の答えを予想しながら「フルーツパフェできますか？」と聞いてみました。
I continued, anticipating the answer to some extent, “Can you do a fruit parfait?” I asked.
「それもできません。」
I can’t do that either.”
おお！
Oh, wow!
この答えは、今が15時すぎという時間だからなんだと、自分に言い聞かせました。
I told myself that the answer to this question was because it was now past 3:00 p.m.

そして、僕は外しようのない正解へと辿り着きました。
And I arrived at a correct answer that I could not miss.
程なく奥のキッチンから、ガラガラと氷を粉砕するジューサーの音が聞こえてきます。
Soon the sound of a juicer rattling and crushing ice can be heard from the kitchen in the back.
やっぱりね、大阪の喫茶店だからね。
After all, this is a cafe in Osaka.
これこそまさに、”The Osakan taste ! “。
This is exactly what “The Osakan taste !

その後の通り道、京阪電車の京橋駅では、さらなる「大阪グルメ」と出会いました。
Later, at Kyobashi Station on the Keihan Railway, I encountered more “Osaka gourmet” food.
京橋名物「フランクフルト」！
Frankfurters, a specialty of Kyobashi Station!
なんだか、１日に700本も売れてる(時もあるそう)で、この日も５分間の間に女子1名を含む５名の方がこの場でお召し上がりでした。あと、今っぽいお兄さんが２本をテイクアウトされていました。
Somehow, they sell as many as 700 a day (sometimes), and on this day, five people, including one girl, ate here in the space of five minutes. Also, a young man who looks like now was taking out two of them.
時刻は午後４時を少しすぎたところでしたが、２名の方は缶ビール付きで。
Even though the time was a little after 4 p.m., two people were drinking canned beer as well.
そして、この場でお召し上がりの方はマナーも良く、皆さんからこの愛されるフランクフルトをこれからも残して行こうというお気持ちが伝わってきました。
And the people who were here to enjoy the food were well mannered, and everyone expressed their desire to keep this beloved frankfurter in the future.
うん。次の時は、少しお腹を空かせて来よう。
Yeah, I’ll come a little hungry next time.
