086 Ancient Road ( Nakasendo)

JR東海・中央本線の中津川駅前です。

This is in front of Nakatsugawa Station on the JR Tokai Chuo Main Line.

ここからはバスを利用しての移動です。

From here I will be traveling by bus.

目的地は、中山道の「馬籠宿」です。

The destination is “Magome – juku” on the Nakasendo Road.

ここからは、１時間たらずの「バス旅」です。

From here, it is an about 1 hour “bus trip”.

峠に向かう坂道にあるので、ここのエリアはそこそこの勾配があります。

The area here is steep as it is located on a slope leading to a mountain pass.

水車のある建物は、人気の撮影スポットでした。

The house with the waterwheel was a popular photo spot.

この日は休日ということもあり、基本的にはこのように多くの人出でした。

観光地へ立ち寄る人が、増えてきたことを実感します。

I have noticed that more and more people are stopping by tourist attractions.

何故でしょう？

Why?

このような場所のネコって、人馴れしてますよね。

Cats in places like this are very familiar with people.

名古屋への帰り道、明智鉄道に捕まってしまいました。

On my way back to Nagoya, I was caught by the Akechi Railway.

僕の旅はどこへ行っても、鉄道がメインディッシュになってしまいます。

Wherever my trip take me, trains are the main dish.

終点の明智駅は、雨も似合う、趣のある佇まいでした。

The terminal, Akechi Station, had a quaint appearance that suited the rain.

☆

そして、この日一番の収穫となったもの。

And what turned out to be the best part of the day.

名古屋駅までのJR線連絡切符。

JR line connecting ticket to Nagoya station.

硬券です！

It’s an old-fashioned ticket, made of hard cardboard！

帰路は、名古屋市内の千種駅で降り立ちました。

On the way back, I got off at Chikusa Station in Nagoya City.

8両全てが、JR東海211系だったこの列車。

All eight cars of this train were of the older type.

モーター音に、歴史を感じます。

The sound of the motor gives a sense of history.

夕食です。

It’s dinner time.

名古屋といえば、やっぱり「味噌煮込みうどん」ですね。

When it comes to Nagoya, “Miso Nikomi Udon” is what it is all about.

秋の雨で冷えたカラダを暖めてくれました。

It warmed my body, which had been chilled by the fall rain.
