061 The Breakfast.

都内、新宿の朝です。

It’s morning in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

今朝は、最近すっかりお気に入りとなった、京王プラザホテルでの朝食です。

This morning, I have breakfast at Keio Plaza Hotel, which has become my favorite recently.

朝食にしては美しすぎるお料理。

The food is too beautiful for breakfast.

このホテルの開業50周年を記念されての、特別メニューだとか。

It’s a special menu to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the hotel’s opening.

朝からいただくシャンパンも、素敵な雰囲気を醸し出しています。

The champagne I get from the morning also creates a nice atmosphere.

朝のバイキングでいただけて、嬉しい限りです。

さて、

Now,

今回私がこの朝食を取り上げさせていただいたのは、もちろんこの煌びやかなメニューの紹介もありました。

Of course, the reason why I took up this breakfast this time was the introduction of this gorgeous menu.

ただ、それ以上にお伝えしたかったのは、こちらのスタッフのみなさんのお姿でした。

However, what I wanted to convey more than that was the appearance of the staff here.

未だ、人の出足が戻っていない今日(こんにち)、このように多くのスタッフの方々が滞在者を迎えておられます。

Today, when people haven’t started yet, so many staff members are welcoming residents.

京王プラザホテルさんの魅力は、かつてのコラムでも書かせていただきました。

東京には、数多くの素晴らしいホテルがあり、また、そこで働いておられる数多くの方々がいらっしゃいます。

There are many great hotels in Tokyo and many people working there.

私は、ご縁に導かれてこちらの京王プラザホテルさんが常宿になりつつありますが、この厄災下みなさんが懸命の努力をしておられることと思います。

I am guided by the relationship and this Keio Plaza Hotel is becoming a permanent inn, but I think that everyone in this disaster is making hard efforts.

世の中が１日も早く、かつての賑わいに近づくこと心から願っています。

I sincerely hope that the world will come closer to the bustle of the past as soon as possible.
