大阪市にある、南海電鉄の「なんば」駅です。
ここには「知る人ぞ知る」隠れた食堂があると聞いてやって来ました。
Nankai Railway’s “Namba” station is located in Osaka City.
I came here because I heard that there is a hidden diner “known only to those in the know” here.

その場所はメインゲートから奥まった場所にある「２階中央口」の内側にあります。
Its location is inside the “2nd floor central entrance”, which is located back from the main gate.

有人改札口で無料の「構内入場証」を受け取り、真っ直ぐに奥の通路を進みます。
この「構内入場証」は、後で同じ改札口で返却しなければなりません。
I receive a free “on-premises entrance pass” at the manned ticket gate and proceed straight down the back aisle.
You must return this “on-premises entrance pass” at the same ticket gate later.

通路を進み、階段の手前にある左側のドアが入り口です。
「立入禁止」と大きく表示されていますが、「食堂利用者」は入ることが許されています。
このドアを開け、さらに通路に沿って進んだところに、お目当ての食堂があります。
ここは南海電鉄さんの「難波給食場」という、社員食堂です。
この会社のいくつかの駅には社員食堂があるとのことですが、なんば駅のこの食堂だけが一般の方も利用できるとのことです。
基本的に社員さん向けの施設なので、混雑時には時間に制約のある社員さん優先ですし、施設の中には「社員さん専用席」も設置されています。
そしてここのエリアはオープンスペースではないので、施設内の写真撮影は許可されていないと思います。
I proceed down the aisle and the door on the left before the stairs is the entrance.
It is marked “No Trespassing” in large letters, but “cafeteria users” are allowed to enter.
After opening this door and proceeding further along the corridor, you will find the cafeteria you are looking for.
This is Nankai Electric Railway’s “Namba Catering Hall,” an employee cafeteria.
The company has employee cafeterias at several of its stations, but this cafeteria at Namba Station is the only one open to the general public.
Since this facility is basically for employees, priority is given to employees with time constraints during busy times, and there are “employee-only seats” in the facility.
And since this area is not an open space, I don’t think photography is allowed inside the facility.

この日いただいたのは、お昼の「B定食(牛肉の大和煮)」６００円です。
もちろん社員さん価格の方が低く設定されていますが、これでも十分リーズナブルです。
おかずも美味しく、ご飯はこれで「中ライス」で、おなかいっぱいになりました。
On this day, I had the “Lunch Set Meal (Side dishes are chilled Tofu and Beef cooked in soy sauce and sugar.)” for 600 yen.
Of course, the employee price is lower, but it is still reasonable.
The side dishes were delicious, and the rice was “medium” size, which filled me up.

美味しい食事をいただいた後は、デザートです。
After a delicious meal, it is time for dessert.
大阪なんばにある、1945年創業の「北極」さんです。
(「北極のマスコットが、何故ペンギンなのか？」というツッコミ、大阪ではむしろ定番です。)
Located in Namba, Osaka, is a popsicle shop named “Hokkyoku ( North Pole )”.
It is a mystery why the mascot character is a penguin when the name of the restaurant is ” North Pole “.

この日は、一番のお気に入りの「パイン」を選びました。
