２日目の朝です。
It is the morning of the second day.
まずは小倉駅から博多駅へ、「博多行き」の列車で移動します。
やってきた車両はJR西日本の「500系」車両です。
1997年にデビューしたこの車両、当時はこの風貌が斬新なものでした。
今は山陽新幹線内での運用となっていますが、今もこのデザインは洗練された雰囲気を持っています。
First, from Kokura Station to Hakata Station, I take the “Hakata-bound” train. The train that arrived was JR West’s “500 Series” train, which debuted in 1997, and at the time had a novel look. Although it is now operated within the San-yo Shinkansen, the design still has a sophisticated atmosphere.

博多駅に到着したこの列車、行き先表示が「博多南行き」に変わっています。
This train arrives at Hakata Station, and the destination indication has changed to “Hakata-Minami (=South)”.
博多南駅は博多駅からさらに先にある、山陽新幹線の車庫に併設された駅です。
なお、この区間は「新幹線の路線ではなく、在来線」の扱いとなっているので、「片道330円」で乗車することができます。
Hakata Minami Station is located further from Hakata Station and is attached to the San-yo Shinkansen depot.This section of the line is treated as a “conventional line, not a Shinkansen line,” so you can take the train for only 330 yen one way.

新幹線の車庫を左手に見ながら、博多南駅に到着します。
The train arrives at Hakata Minami Station with the Shinkansen garage on the left.

次の目的地へ向かうべく、西鉄福岡(天神)駅に移動です。
I move on to Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Ten-jin) station for my next destination.
発車直前の急行列車に乗り込みましたが、何やら特別な車両のようです。
I boarded the express train just before it departed and it appeared to be some kind of special train car.

車内には沿線である、柳川市の伝統工芸品が展示されていました。
もちろんレプリカなのですが、日本刀の展示には強い印象を受けました。
Inside the train were displays of traditional crafts from Yanagawa City, which is located along the train line. Of course, it was replica, but I was strongly 4impressed by the display of Japanese swords.

西鉄二日市駅で、次の列車に乗り換えます。
At Nishitetsu Futsukaichi Station, change to the next train.

到着したのは、「太宰府駅」。
駅名標も伝統的な様式でした。
I arrived at Dazaifu Station, where the station name sign was also in the traditional style.

駅舎も神社を模した作りになっています。
この駅からは福岡空港や、博多エリアに向かう直通バスも運行されており、多くの人が利用されていました。
バスならば乗り換えなく空港や街に出ることができるので、便利さでは優位性があります。
The station building is also made in the shape of a shrine.From this station, there is a direct bus service to Fukuoka Airport and the Hakata area, which many people use.Buses have an advantage in terms of convenience, as they can get to the airport and the city without transfers.

太宰府天満宮の本殿は124年ぶりの大改修ということで、「仮殿」が建てられていました。
The main hall of Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine was undergoing its first major renovation in 124 years, so a “temporary hall” was being built.
この「仮殿」は、３年間だけの設営ということなので、貴重な光景が見れたと思っています。
Since this “temporary hall” is only set up for three years, I believe I was able to see a valuable sight.

博多への帰路、二日市駅では西鉄のレストラン列車に出会いました。
On my way back to Hakata, I met a Nishitetsu restaurant train at Futsukaichi Station.
残念ながら今回は乗車できませんでしたが、いつか乗ってみようと思います。
