SL列車の後は、秩父駅近くの「秩父神社」にお参りです。

After the steam locomotive train, I visited “Chichibu Shrine” near Chichibu Station.

2000年以上の歴史があるとされている神社で、京都在住の僕も、その存在感に圧倒されました。

The shrine is said to be over 2,000 years old, and as a Kyoto resident myself, I was overwhelmed by its presence.

また毎年12月に開催される「例祭」は「秩父夜祭」としても有名です。

The annual festival held in December is also famous as the “Chichibu Night Festival“.

ランチは、やはり秩父名物の「わらじカツ丼」をいただきました。

For lunch, I had the Chichibu specialty, “Waraji Katsu-don,” which is also a Chichibu specialty.

周辺のお店はどこも満席で、駅に隣接された施設のレストランで、ようやくいただくことができました。

All the restaurants in the area were full, and I was finally able to eat at a restaurant in a facility adjacent to the station.

甘い醤油ダレでしっかりと味付けされていたので、疲れた体も元気になりました。

It was well seasoned with a sweet soy sauce sauce sauce, which cheered up my tired body.

旅に出ると、やっぱりたくさん食べてしまいますね。

When I travel, I still eat a lot.

それでは、東京に向かって戻ることにします。

秩父鉄道には、このような電車も走っています。

This type of train also runs on the Chichibu Railway.

帰路は、数多くの列車に乗りました。

On the return trip I took numerous trains.

これは、JR東日本のディーゼルカー。

This is a diesel car of JR East.

僕はディーゼルカーの走行音が好きなので、走っている路線があると、遠回りをしてでも乗ってしまいます。

I like the sound of the running sound, so when I see a line with diesel cars running, I take the long way around to get on.

拝島駅からの列車です。

This train is from Hai-jima Station.

西武鉄道の通勤型車両に乗るのは、今回が初めてでした。

This was my first time riding in a Seibu Railway commuter train.

立川駅からは、モノレールに乗車。

From Tachikawa Station, I took the monorail.

今回のSL列車の旅、モノレールからの空中散歩でフィナーレでした。

This steam train trip ended with an aerial view from the monorail.
